Sometimes really, really, bad things happen to good people.
We're all a bit devastated at the moment, Ian, Julie's brother was killed on Saturday in a helicopter crash flying home from Ireland. I don't want to, indeed don't feel that I can or should express my own pain here but I'd like my gentle readers to bear with me for a week or so.
Ian was one of those very rare people that I genuinely liked and respected and his untimely death will leave a hell of a hole in all our lives.
If there are people in your life that matter to you, and you've not told them how much recently, I urge you to do so, now.
